our philosophy

Frank, Food and Me is a culmination of Frank (my late grandfather), me, and the people that have shared their culture, recipes and lives with us.

It is a hub of food and its amazing producers, information and baking, with values firmly placed on local and sustainably produced. Frank, Food & Me follows the principles of the Slow Food movement, and is a part of the Terra Madre community. I believe food discovery starts with your grandparents, using heirloom recipes, and handing down of food tradition to keep cultures alive, and fight against the monoculture that is overtaking our societies.

Frank, Food & Me creates baked goods with a conscience from sustainable food sources, which are as much as possible local. It is a culmination of years of Australian grandmas and their food tradition, with recipes made from real food. We celebrate small scale salt-of- the-earth farmers and their heritage. These are cakes and cookies are aimed at promoting and supporting local growers, whilst also celebrating food heritage and rekindling the culture of handing down food tradition. The end product is high quality, fresh, pure home-baked goods that are full of flavour, as the ingredients used were bursting with flavour before they were baked!
